After you purchase your new Gallery Home, you'll receive a copy of our comprehensive Homeowner's Maintenance Manual. You'll find tips and guidelines to help keep your home looking good and to help avoid unnecessary repairs in the years to come.
Home Care Checklist Overview
- Check air filters and clean or replace as necessary
- Vacuum air supply and air return registers to remove dust and lint
- Check fire extinguishers to ensure they are fully charged
- Clean garbage disposal blades by grinding up ice cubes and freshen up with baking soda and/or grinding up citrus fruit rinds
- Test and reset garbage disposal GFCI breakers
- Check for cracks or separations in all interior/exterior caulking and use appropriate caulking compound to repair.
- Clean and/or replace range hood filter
- Clean sliding door track and apply silicone spray as necessary
- Check and lubricate garage door pulleys and rollers as needed
- Test smoke detectors; clean and/or vacuum; replace batteries if needed
- Clean gutters of debris and leaves
- Every six months, have an HVAC Contractor perform seasonal maintenance
- Keep your termite bond active. As a reminder you will receive a renewal notice every year.
